The 4th annual HAAM Benefit Day, which last year collected $150,000 for the Heath Alliance of Austin Musicians, will be an 20-hour affair Tuesday Sept. 22. The live music starts with Wimberley new addition Kevin Welch at 6 a.m. at presenting sponsor Whole Foods Market on North Lamar and goes until 2 a.m. at participating nightclubs.

Highlights include Terri Hendricks at Whole Foods (9 a.m.), the Dennis Ludiker Trio at Time Warner Cable’s North MoPac office (11:30 a.m.), Uncle Lucius at GSD&M Idea City (4:30 p.m.), Suzanna Choffel at Phil’s Icehouse (5 p.m.) and Pinetop Perkins at Antone’s (7 p.m.)

Over at Waterloo Records, Bob Schneider is hosting a CD release party for new album “Lovely Creatures,” which should be at the top of Waterloo’s best-selling CDs list for the next few months. Schneider’s 2001 LP “Lonelyland” is the top Waterloo seller of all time, moving almost 25,000 units. You won’t be able to just waltz in and see Bob and the gang perform. Wristbands will be given to the first 250 people who preorder “L.C.” at Waterloo beginning Sept. 15. They’ll also receive a Dropcard for an immediate download of the single, “40 Dogs (Like Romeo and Juliet).” Or they can tune to KGSR, which will be playing it any second now...
